The fomenting Volta rebel Group distinguished as Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSF) battling for the autonomy of 'Western Togoland' on Friday first light obstructed a few streets in the Eastern locale prompting the Volta Region. 

The gathering at 2am and mounted obstructions with solid blocks at Akrade, Akuse Junction and Juapong, on the Accra - Ho street forestalling vehicular developments. They purportedly mounted gigantic signs with the engraving 'Welcome to Western Togoland' at various passage focuses. 

From that point, they consumed vehicle tires and discharge shots. The gathering a month ago mounted a goliath sign at Akuse and Somanya in the Lower Manya Krobo and Yilo Krobo Municipalities in the Eastern Region with the engraving: "Welcome to Western Togoland, Stay Safe." 

For travelers heading towards Somanya from Accra, one of the posts had the engraving, "Welcome to Western Togoland" while the one at the other stretch of the street peruses: "You are leaving Western Togo Land". The Police later raged the scenes to eliminate the signs. 

In any case, on Friday morning, a joint military team and Police immediately moved to the areas where the hindrances were made and with the assistance of workers eliminated the blocks from the streets. 

The Asuogyaman District Chief Executive, Samuel Agyekum at the hour of documenting this report affirmed to DGN Online that, the supposed secessionists in the wake of leaving progressing and reciting that they are looking for autonomy fled from the territories. 

He said the National Security has assumed control over the obstructions as they are chasing for the Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSF).
