Ghana and South Africa agree on visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary passports

Visa waiver agreement between Ghana and South Africa kick start on November 1, 2023, and will allow travelers from both countries to cross across, leave from, and stay in the territory of another country for up to (90 days) 3 months without a visa as a nonworker.


According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana, the agreement will make it more comfortable and affordable for individuals to travel and do business among themselves. 


Aside from the development it will bring to both countries, it will also strengthen the growing friendship and affiliation and make it easier for friends and family to visit each other.


Travelers should go through with their airline or embassy for more information on the requirements for entering Ghana or South Africa under the new visa waiver agreement. The agreement was signed by both Governments
