The Petition was scheduled for Pretrial today; however, yesterday, the Petitioner filed 2 processes: (1) a request to admit facts; and (2) a motion for leave to serve interrogatories on the 1st Respondent (EC). This morning, the Petitioner filed another process: a request to inspect documents.

The Court heard the motion for leave to serve interrogatories on the 1st Respondent (EC), which was opposed by the Respondents. The Petitioner’s motion for leave to serve interrogatories was unanimously dismissed by the Court as having no basis in the Court’s rules for Presidential Election Petitions.

The Court directed the parties to file their issues by 9:30am tomorrow, and adjourned the Petition to 9:30am on 20 January 2021 for Pretrial.
