Tamale Central Member of Parliament and leader of the Minority caucus, Haruna Iddrisu, has rubbished claims that he would contest John Mahama for the 2024 flagbearer ship race.
This follows posters of the NDC MP emerging on social media to the effect that he would be in the race.
In a statement published on the Facebook wall of Haruna Institute, he charged "the rank and file of the NDC and the general public to treat with contempt and disregard the malicious circulation of FAKE posters of Hon Haruna Iddrisu by NPP apparatchiks."
He believes the NPP is deliberately doing this to tune the attention of Ghanaians from the badly performing Akufo Addo administration.
He has hence denied any knowledge of the posters, and neither has he authorized any such move.
"The Hon Haruna Iddrisu has no knowledge of it and has not sanctioned any poster to be made on his behalf," the statement concluded.
